Environmental and social responsibility is a core value at Belk Printing Technologies. We believe we have serious and lasting obligations to our employees, customers, suppliers, and the various constituencies that make up the community in which we operate. Those obligations include constant vigilance in the areas of environmental, safety, and health impacts of everything we do. We are committed to the wholehearted compliance in creating the safest and healthiest workplace for our employees and producing environmentally sensitive products in a near waste-free manufacturing process.

This policy was designed to establish a culture and address what we consider to be a triple bottom line encompassing people, planet and profits. Adherence to the following policy components will yield positive results in these three important areas.

OUR POLICY IS AS FOLLOWS:

• We will comply with, and exceed where possible, regulations regarding the provision of a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.
• We will place high value on employees as individuals by providing growth opportunity through participative management and personal security through benefits.
• We will comply with, and exceed where possible, regulations regarding the environmental impacts of our products and processes.
• We commit to preventing waste in any form. We will work to eliminate or reduce known sources of pollution, reuse materials where possible, and recycle every by-product possible.
• We commit to continuous improvement in all phases of the operation. We do this by analyzing performance metrics and benchmarking against the industry's best.
• We commit to sharing with all interested stakeholders, internal and external, information on our sustainability performance.
• We commit to continuously improving our ability to earn an appropriate profit while operating in a responsible manner with respect to all aspects of this policy.

TO SUPPORT THIS POLICY, WE:

• Recycle 100% of the by-products of our manufacturing processes, including aluminum plates, corrugated materials, wooden pallets, plastic ink cartridges, shrink wrap, stretch film, scrap metal, scrap machinery, and scrap computers
• Maintain our FSC certification, giving our customers the flexibility to spec papers produced from forests and at mills that promote responsible forest stewardship
• Return 1.4 million lbs of paper waste annually to the mills for recycling
• Use plates that require 60% less chemistry than previous ones
• Use ink cartridges, rather than cans, to save 2,500 lbs of ink waste annually
• Use inks that are 26% vegetable oil, and release <1% VOC’s during the printing process
• Recycle 100% of our biodegradable press dampening solution
• Maintain all equipment and mechanical building systems for peak performance
• Provide recycle bins in offices and common areas to collect paper, aluminum, and plastic
